What this blog is *about*

I have decided to create this virtual space as a playground wherein to explore my *lipstick fetish*. This is a place of freedom, honesty and playfulness. Please feel free to post your questions, requests and discussion topics. Verbal violence, discrimination and narrow-mindedness are totally UNWELCOME here.

"A Way of Being Free"

*Profound apologies* for my absence my *truly* beloved readership! This little Lady's been awfully selfish these past couple of months... She's got a cameraman to use at *leisure*...
but the problem arises when you keep their hands too busy during the Leisure Hours to be able to use the aforementioned contraption.
That's awfully rude, and I am sorry...but not *that* sorry ;-)

Promise I'll make it up to you all in due course. Not because I feel obliged but because I'll damn well enjoy every gleamingly-coloured second of it. And have been, you have no idea, but I really want to share it here...
But don't get me wrong.
It's not a matter of voyeurism, though that's certainly something I get quite the *kick* out of, but I have always had a nasty habit of being utterly incapable of doing anything at all half-way.

In other words, if this were simply a voyeuristic site, you'd know aaaaall the fuck about it. I'd been on a webcam 12/7 using visitors as nothing more than a means to a creamy end. It wouldn't matter who the hell you are, regardless of the fact that I don't know half your real names, you'd be part of an equation that would simply make this a site where I get my kicks, and not one where I share them. And with all due respect, I don't believe it's the girls that get the raw end of the deal in that industry, by and large. That would be the viewer.
Think about it.
We get to be the centre of your universe, for as long as we can captivate you, and feel loved and admired for simply showing off what we were born with...and getting ourselves off all the while...
and getting paid for it. I may as well get paid for breathing!!!

Nah. Yours Truly is quite comfortable with a voracious voyeuristic encounter here and there, but that's not what Wet Your Lips *Here* is about. The banner says it happens to be the virtual lipstick fetish playground of a certain Lady Lipstick, and it's not a flippantly made declaration by any means.
So what are you doing here little Lady?

I'm here to be human. To reinforce and nurture that humanity with anyone who empathises.
And I'm here, despite my endless proclivity with words, to, not so much do away with them, but to go beyond them.

Seems a little too intellectual a mission statement for what can be grossly understood as a fetish site, but I assure you, it's one that can be achieved without intellectualising the happiness and sheer *bliss* I experience from being honest to myself. About my sexuality, my mind and my heart. All of which, at the end of the day, I hope we as a race of the planet Earth learn are intertwined, co-dependent and harmonious.

I really look forward to the day we stop boxing *every* aspect of our existence... Even our
fetishes! Remember my post on the various lipstick fetishes from waaaay back? There are no boundaries, all is *deliciously* intertwined, and it'd be really nice if we can describe prominent aspects of ourselves without fear of being mistaken by our listeners that the words we've uttered, for the sake of forming an understanding of each other by which to communicate (communicate!), is the be-all and end-all of Who We Are, thusly being confined to a category like over-priced jeans who have a Name Brand attached.

I wish us all to be *free*. And, ultimately, happy for the freedom with which we are *born*
to be, discover, and adjust Who We Are.
And, oh my god, I love you all for sharing your imaginative and emotional beings with m
e here. And if you're enjoying the show as much as *I am*...well that's an extra bonus all around :-) Yay for that! And afurther, *resounding yay* that we get to indulge in a sexyual expression that's as *sexy* as it is aesthetic! I'm a total *sucker for that combination!

Which brings me back to the primary thesis of this post. "Beyond words" and "aetheticism". And their integral relation to just plain having a *wonderful* time o
f being. I'm sorry I'm so intellectually heavy after my prolonged time away from here, but, firstly, I intend to make that up with the very next post, and secondly, I enjoy that, though the text is not at all removed from the images of their accompanying post, that their narrative exists *beyond* the text anyway.
As every work of art should.

And, because I want to make that paradigm of yon humble blog more overt to *you*, dearly beloved reader, I wish to share with you this *incredible* excerpt of writing on the matter from one of the greatest writers of our
time. You are *entirely* encouraged to disregard the following entirely if you so choose, and simply enjoy the story the pictures have to tell, and please enjoy! :-)
But for those of you willing to read on...I feel compelled to tell you the opening line of this excerpt, speaking as a writer, is my Ultimate Favourite Quote in all of literature. And has been, unfalteringly so, for many years now.

For the record, this shoot happened at dawn. A few hours before I was due at my parttime jo
b actually... It happened cause I *damn well* felt like it.
And *all* those lipstick-slicked swirls and smears and areas of dripping gloss stayed on under my "work clothes"...because I *damn well* felt like that too ;-)

And without further adue,

Ben Okri's "Ways of Being Free"...

"We began before words, and we will end beyond them.

It sometimes seems to me that our days are poisoned with too many words. Words said and not meant. Words said and meant. Words divorced from feeling. Wounding words. Words that conceal. Words that reduce. Dead Words.

If only words were a kind of fluid that collects in the ears, if only they turned into the visible
chemical equivalent of their true value, an acid, or something curative - then we might be more careful. Words do collect in us anyway. They collect in the blood, in the soul, and either transform or poison people's lives. Bitter or thoughtless words poured into the ears of the young have blighted many lives in advance. We all know people whose unhappy lives twist on a set of words uttered to them on a certain unforgotten day at school, in childhood, or at university.

We seem to think that words aren't things. A bump on the head may pass away, but a cutting remark grows with the mind. But then it is possible that we know all too well the awesome power of words - which is why we use them with such deadly and accurate cruelty.

We are all wounded inside in some way or other. We all carry unhappiness within us for some reason or other. Which is why we need a little gentleness and healing from one another. Healing in words, and healing beyond words. Like gestures. Warm gestures. Like friendship, which will always be a mystery. Like a smile, which someone described as the shortest distance between two people.

Yes, the highest things are beyond words.

That is probably why all art aspires to the condition of wordlessness. When literature works on you, it does so in silence, in your dreams, in your wordless moments. Good words enter you and become moods, become the quiet fabric of your being. Like music, like painting, literature too wants to transcend its primary condition and become something higher. Art wants to move into silence, into the emotional and spiritual conditions of the world. Statues become melodies, melodies become yearnings, yearnings become actions.

When things fall into words they usually descend. Words have an earthly gravity. But the best things in us are those that escape the gravity of our deaths. Art wants to pass into life, to lift it; art wants to enchant, to transform, to make life more meaningful or bearable in its own small and mysterious way. The greatest art was probably born from a profound and terrible silence - a silence out of which the deepest enigmas of our lives cry: Why are we here? What is the point of it all? How can we know peace and live in joy? Why be born in order to die? Why this difficult one-way journey between the two mysteries?

Out of the wonder and agony of being come these cries and questions and the endless stream of words with which to order human life and quieten the human heart in the midst of our living and our distress.

The ages have been inundated with vast oceans of words. We have been virtually drowned in them. Words pour at us from every angle or corner. They have not brought understanding, or peace, or healing, or a sense of self-mastery, nor has the ocean of words given us the feeling that, at least in terms of tranquillity, the human spirit is getting better.

At best our cry for meaning, for serenity, is answered by a greater silence, the silence that makes us seek higher reconciliation.

I think we need more of the wordless in our lives. We need more stillness, more of a sense of wonder, a feeling for the mystery of life. We need more love, more silence, more deep listening, more deep giving"

Go with a smile till next time, dear reader...

And be forewarned, after a meaningful post such as this that the next one's going to be as gratuitous and fun as all hell!

New Year's Day

"All is quiet
on New Year's Day,
the world is white,
it's underway" - U2, 'New Year's Day'

A brand new year; a clean, new canvas, sparkling with possibilities, free for you to paint with the colours you choose...

A belated *happy 2008 everyone*! Here's hoping we all have set the foundation of our canvas with *exactly* the hues and tones we want. And that this year brings you all happy, *colourful* stories to tell ;-)

Your Lady Lipstick already has quite a few to tell... And a new year's resolution to be delightfully diligent in keeping you up to speed with them all...

So let's start at the very beginning, with New Year's Day.

I woke up to the new year, stupid-happy and smeared in lipstick. And with the aforementioned quote from U2 running through my head.
Owing to my indulgences in my favourite fetish I have acquired a somewhat different understanding of my body to the average girl on the street (wherein it is normally viewed as a problematic site, one to be struggled with, one to project one's identity with, one to assert alpha-femaleness with in a crowd, a means of attracting the object of one's desire etc). To varying extents I have less of these understandings of my body- first and foremost, it is a canvas for me. A canvas on which to express who I am, how I am feeling, my revelry in the wonder of it, its sexuality and desires and lusts.
In acknowledgment of this, I wanted to wear the joy I felt upon waking to the new year on my body for the whole day, to set the tone and hues for the year ahead.
And here's the colours and shapes that it took...

To ensure it did indeed last all day long, till it couldn't be *beared* any longer and something had to be done about that...though even then it still took another two days to get my slickings of joy all off :-) ) I used Yardley's Paint and Go, Rosehip, and L'Oreal's Invincible Kiss Proof, Crystal Coral.
Once I kicked off that silky, translucent golden sheet (which I used for the sake of texture, which you by now know I'm *sucker* for- it feels criminally sexy feeling it brush against my lower lips as I shift and change pose when reading) which you'll get a better look at further into this post, the fabric-painted sheet underneath is one of my own design, and be sure it was not chosen for this post arbitrarily.
It's but one of the meaningful incorporations into the shoot to embody your Lady Lipstick's desires of 2008...
They are:
knowledge,
growth,
change,
freedom,
joy
(and lots and lots lipstick-smothered sex).

New Year's Day was a *damn* good start indeed ;-)

And here's what happened afterward when I alluded to the bliss becoming *unbearable*...

Happy New Year dear readership at Wet Your Lips *Here*!!!
